Fernando Alonso was born 29th July 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias in Spain. His father was mechanic in a factory near Oviedo, while the mother worked in a department store. The first time Fernando Alonso got his hands on a car was at the tender age of three. At eight years, he went beyond the limits of Asturias and won the Galicia and Austrian regional championships. By 1991 Fernando's passion of competing in more car races grew and became so intense. His father who had been an amateur kart racer was the one who motivated Fernando to get interest in racing in jeans. Fernando is currently living in Oxford, England. He is a Spanish Formula One racing driver and he has been two-time world champion. He is said to be the second F1 driver after Michael Schumacher. He scored at least 100 points for three consecutive seasons. At a tender age of 22, He became the youngest ever winner in Malaysia. After that he became the youngest Grand Prix champion with a maiden triumph in Hungary. In 2005, Alonso managed to claim the driver's crown with just two races left. He later won his second consecutive title during German last season. Fernando is the first gentleman since the triumph of Juan Manuel Fangio to score consecutive championships with dissimilar teams. Fernando is actually the youngest ever driver in to triumph in the F1 championships after winning the race in Brazil. He is also known as the prince of Austria’s for sports and this has enabled him to receive great achievements.
