In most sports, people can point to a certain team or player that has distinguished itself above all others. In football, you have the Brazilian national football team, Real Madrid and Manchester United. In tennis, you have Roger Federer. And, correspondingly, the greatest team of the Formula 1 world is and has been the Ferrari team.

Ferrari have many things going for them. For one, they have some of the best cars in the sport, and perhaps the entire world. Also, they have had and continue to have some of the best drivers in the world.

The Ferrari F1 race car has been internationally recognised as one of the greatest – if not the greatest – race cars in the business. This is due to the combination of a top-notch engine and a chassis that surpasses virtually every other in quality. Their engines are not only included in the standard Ferrari model. They supply engines to many other lines, as well. Their newest model, the Ferrari 150° Italia, was revealed on 28 January, 2011, and will be the official race car of the team.

The team has also contained some of the most renowned drivers in the sport for many years. For example, Rubens Barichello, the great Brazilian racer, drove for Ferrari for 5 years (from 2000 to 2005). He was rather successful in his runs, coming in as runner-up in two of the championships he drove in. He would have been more successful, however, if he had not been driving with one of the best drivers the sport had ever seen. His name, of course, is Michael Schumacher. Before his retirement in 2006, Schumacher had driven for the Scuderia Ferrari for 11 years. During his remarkable career, he won a total of 7 world championships, and is widely regarded as one of the finest Formula 1 drivers in all of history.
